A Letter to Parishioners: How Call to Share Impacts the Villa

Sarah McEnerney | January 16, 2017

For many years, as I sat in the pews with my family, I gave what I could to Call to Share, but I often wondered, “Where do my dollars go?”

Now that I am the Director of Engagement for Villa St. Francis, I’ve not only seen, but experienced that question answered.

For those of you who don’t know, Villa St. Francis is a non-profit Catholic community offering Long Term Care, Short Term Rehabilitation, and Skilled Memory Care. Our Mission is to serve the physical, social, psychological, and spiritual needs of our residents with compassion, excellence, and dignity. One of the missions of the Archdiocese is to provide care for people who couldn’t afford it otherwise. With more than 70% of our residents requiring state assistance to cover the cost of care, we wouldn’t be able to meet their needs at the level we do without the generous donations of those that contribute to the Archbishop’s Call to Share annually.

Support from the Archbishop’s Call to Share has allowed us to create a more comfortable, home-like environment by updating our Memory Care neighborhoods, eliminating nurses’ stations and creating more living spaces for residents and visitors. In the future, we look forward to our continued partnership with parishes in the Archdiocese.

I want to personally invite you to come by the Villa to see firsthand how the support of parishioners like you is impacting the lives of members of our community.

Sincerely,

Sarah McEnerney
